The prior knowledge required for this module come from acquiring skills from the secondary school curriculum and requirements for entering university.
Social psychology as a scientific discipline: Epistemological bases theoretical, scientific and methodology of social psychology.
Main paradigms and theoretical trends in social psychology. Historical and methodological bases of social psychology. Main psychosocial processes and phenomena: Group processes and collective movements: Psychosocial and community intervention.
Human beings and culture. People and their dimensions. Thought, language and subjectivity.
Memory, history and identities. The matter of freedom.
On myths, rites and symbols. Art and aesthetic creation: The search for meaning and the longing for happiness. The teaching and learning methodology shall be based on the combination of three broad working areas: Assignments in the classroom are distributed between large group classes, in which the lectures are given; small groups for practice, working in small groups; and the seminar, in which work is done on the most suitable fundanentos, competences and procedures for educating psychologists.
There is an initial assessment, ongoing and final assessment. Each of these assessment types shall be applied through the different activities done in the large group, small group and seminar classes.

The final mark will be the averaged result of each skill, with the percentage assigned to them in each of the class fundamenhos The rounding of the final mark shall be done depending on the implementation of skills that are not evaluated.
The mark for each skill is the result of weighting the different scores obtained in different activities related to each skill.
To pass an exam, all skills in the module must be passed minimum score of 5.
If students do not pass any of the critical skills, there will be a resit exam in June-July, with activities proposed by the teaching staff and tutors. The typical evaluation tools for large group classes may be: The evaluation of small group and seminar classes will be, by necessity, formative and ongoing, so that the learning process is evaluated both in the final result and through these procedures: Skills assessment in the Seminar.
If students failed any of the skills, they have the right to a final examination. Students who have done part of the assignments related to the skills, but according to the teacher’s ongoing assessment do not have high enough marks to evaluate the skills must then pass a resit exam.
