This chapter describes how to configure the Cognos 8 environment. You must configure the Cognos 8 environment in the order specified in this guide. Before attempting to configure the environment, verify that you have installed all required hardware and software.

If the warnings or errors are due to reasons other than mail server connection failure, cancel the process and check your configuration again.
